The Team is Home!

We have all arrived home safely and are thankful for your prayer support during our month in Myanmar. We will be doing some extensive blogging next week in order to provide more details of all that God did during this project.

Please continue to pray for the guys over the next couple of days as we battle the dreaded "Asian jetlag"...

Thanks again for your prayer and financial support of this work. You are a blessing.

Headed Home

Well, we finished witht the Lisu Christian Church of Myanmar graduation last evening. Early in the week they also asked us to be a part of the first ordination service in over 50 years for two of their ministers.

It's a long story, but the Lisu Christian Church of Myanmar has been self-sustaining and very independant. The early missionaries (early & mid 1900's) left a strong church, but once government changes happened they were removed.

So - the ordained ministers began to die - and they did not "replace" with ordained men. So - we (as ordained men) in accordance with the authority of the Lisu Christian Church were privileged to take part in the service.

We had a very productive trip. Many, many doors are opening to expand the work here in Myanmar. Pray for God's wisdom and direction. We have some really great partners here.

We are all tired, mentally and physically. The long journey home from Yangon begins tomorrow. We will be glad to see our families.

The final total in attendance was 204. There were 10 Lisu Pastors who left their villages on Feb. 21st and they never showed up to Mandalay. Reports were that one bridge was out and perhaps they turned back. (Their walk would have been 210 miles (one way))! Others made that journey sucessfully.

God was faithful to provide.

Thank you for taking this journey with us.

Pictures and more info to follow as we return home
