Exciting Days
It has been just about two years since The Aquila Project was born and during that time we have had the privilege of seeing just over 500 pastors and leaders in Southeast Asia receive much needed training and encouragement. It has been my prayer that we would be able to expand the ministry to reach more of the estimated 2 million pastors in our world who have no training, and see the Kingdom of God strengthened and expanded.
One of the keys to seeing this vision become a reality is having the right people in place for the expansion of the ministry. That is why I am so excited about what is happening this week; David Robbins, who has been involved with Aquila from it's inception, is joining the staff on a full-time basis. David will be taking the position of President and will be responsible for all Stateside operations of The Aquila Project. David is a gifted writer and communicator with strong organizational skills, and is exactly what we have needed to see The Aquila Project flourish.
Please be praying for David and his family during this time of transition. David will be completing his work at International Commission, where he has served as Global Strategist, over the next 20 days or so.
Please pray for David and I this fall as we seek to strengthen The Aquila Project's financial base and to prepare for an exciting 2006. We currently have scheduled 14 conferences next year which will allow us to encourage about 700 pastors and leaders.
These are indeed exciting days here at The Aquila Project!
