God's Timing...
It truly is amazing to see the hand of God at work in the life of this ministry. We had scheduled two pastors conferences for June in Cambodia. However, when we tried to make the flight arrangements it became clear that we were not going to be able to get to Phnom Penh when we needed too. On most overseas flights you make your reservation and then wait a few days for the flights to "clear" and get your seat assignments. The only problem this time is that the flights never cleared. After spending time in prayer seeking the Lord's direction, we made the decision to move the conferences to July.
After making this decision, we contacted our travel agent and the flights cleared in 30 minutes! David and I consider this to be God directing our plans and for that we are thankful. We have contacted our friends in Cambodia and this new schedule will work out just fine.
David and I will be leaving for Cambodia on the 7th of July and will return on the 26th. Please begin praying now as we make preparations both here in the US and in Cambodia. During this trip we will have the opportunity to equip and encourage about 100 pastors and church leaders in two different provinces of Cambodia.
The biggest obstacle left in our path for this trip is the finances. We are working very hard at putting together the necessary funding to make this project a reality. It will cost us just shy of $100 per pastor for the training conferences, that includes the pastors transportation, lodging, food and materials. Please pray with us as we move toward this goal, if you would like to be invovled you can email me at jeff@theaquilaproject.com
Our God is at work in the nations of Southeast Asia and we are thankful to play a small role in that work.
That all may hear!
J
