Leaving today...

The day has finally arrived for our team to head to Myanmar. We have been amazed at the way that God has worked out all the details and provided all the finances for this project. This will be our most ambitious project to date and we are excited about all that God has planned for the next month in Myanmar.

We will be sending updates to the blog as often as we can, although it is much more difficult in Myanmar than other places we travel. Please remember to pray for this effort each time the Lord brings us to mind, we truly do covet your prayers.

A friend sent me the following Franciscan Benediction and I want to leave you with this thought in mind:

"May God bless you with discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart. May God bless you with anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom, and peace. May God bless you with tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation, and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and to turn their pain into joy. And may God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done."

May God richly bless you in the coming days!
