In 1863, when President Abraham Lincoln made proclamation that the last Thursday of November should be a day of Thanksgiving, he began one of the great traditions in U.S. History.
President Lincoln understood that deep within the human heart is a basic need to express gratitude. Gratitude is an expression of our confidence in God. Our confidence in God grows stronger as we articulate the realization that He alone is the source of our provision.
We are incredibly grateful to God for allowing us to have a part in equipping and encouraging sacrificial servants in the difficult places of the world.
As we began this endeavor, we quickly realized that we could never ever do this alone. God has already given us many wonderful ministry Partners who have affirmed our vision, and are locking arms with us in order to accomplish the task of building into the lives of church leaders who desperately need to be equipped and encouraged.
Words cannot express our gratitude for your involvement with us. We have been led to set aside a Day of Prayer – a day of intercession on December 1, 2005.
On this concerted day of prayer we will be joined by our board of directors as we express gratitude to God for you and your family, for the needs you communicate to us, for our National leaders, and for the pastors and church leaders who have attended our Institutes.
Would you help us be specific in our prayers for your needs? Our goal is to pray specifically for you and your family, (for any need you would be willing to share) and it would help us immensely if you would respond by emailing your requests to Prayer@theaquilaproject.com.
Perhaps on December 1st, you can breathe a prayer for us and the 700 pastors and church leaders we hope to equip and encourage in 2006. Pray that God will provide the resources to make that happen. Pray for us as we continue to develop curriculum modules.
Thank you in advance for opening your heart to us. Please know that any item you send to us will remain confidential.
We appreciate you. We are grateful for your involvement in this ministry.
Thanks for taking the journey with us,
David Robbins Jeff Easley
President International Director
